Find Freedom, Joy, and Purpose
No matter what you’ve been through, no matter what you currently face, there is hope.
I know what it’s like to feel stuck. I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with fear, anger, and sadness. I know the burden of carrying pain and grief from the past.
I know, because I’ve been there, too. And I know what it’s like to overcome, heal, and rise up.
You deserve a life worth living, full of joy and free from distress. You deserve a space to become your best self. And I want to help you get there.
My name is Christian Holmes. I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) #120391 under the supervision of Mark W. Baker, Ph.D. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #MFT19289 at La Vie Counseling Center. I provide therapy services to teens and adults here in Santa Monica and Pasadena, as well as Glendale, San Fernando Valley, Beverly Hills, San Gabriel Valley, and more through in-person and teletherapy services.
The fit between you and your therapist is everything. If you are interested in meeting me and starting your therapy journey, contact me today. Or, please feel free to explore my site, learn more about my story, and consider whether we would work well together.
Individual
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy (or counseling) is the gold-standard method for addressing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational issues. Whether you are looking to overcome anxiety, break free from depression, or deepen your connections with others, individual therapy can help. Each one-on-one session is tailored to your needs, focused on your goals, and interwoven with evidence-based psychotherapy techniques. Over time, we monitor your progress and celebrate as you become the best, most actualized, version of yourself.
Couples
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy (also called couples counseling) can help get your relationship back on track. In some cases, couples therapy can help unhealthy relationships end well through healthy decoupling. But most of the time, couples therapy is all about improving the relationship, overcoming barriers to intimacy and love, and reigniting the “spark” that once was. The goal of couples therapy is for the relationship to become self-sustaining and healing – that way, your partnership can thrive without the help of a therapist.
Groups
Group Therapy
If you are looking to boost your relational self and overcome interpersonal difficulties, consider trying group therapy. Group therapy works because humans are hardwired for connection. We thrive when we are connected, resourced, and supported by one another. The power of group therapy happens when members are able to express themselves, reflect and offer feedback to one another, and lift each other up as a team. Each session is facilitated by the therapist (that’s me!) to make sure that members have ample opportunity for growth and transformation.
*I am currently a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Baker at La Vie Counseling Center.
